During the English Civil War the strategically important town of Newark was besieged by Parliamentary forces three times. The third siege was the longest, lasting from 26 November 1645 to 8 May 1646.

To commemorate this piece of history Event Plan were commissioned to re-enact the final siege with the English Civil War Society 360 years after it ended, Red Zebra were there to photograph it.
